Out of the four novels, one graphic novel, and one novella I read in February, all were good reads, but none made it to that all-important five-star mark for me to feature it as my Book of the Month. I’m pretty sure this is the first time this has ever happened, since I started this monthly feature. I only want to pass along books that I deemed perfect reads, so I’m going to do something a little different this month. Rather than giving away a book that you can read, I’m going to give away another kind of book while introducing you to one of my favorite, non-reading-related hobbies – coloring.
I love cats, so the very first adult coloring book I bought was one featuring these adorable animals. It contains more than thirty full-page images of cats that are all ready to be colored in. Each picture include elements such as hearts, paisleys, flowers, butterflies, other animals, and lots more. Being a detail oriented person, the rich details in this book very much appeal to me, along with the well-defined lines that make it easier for me to color in. It can take me hours to finish one page, because I always take my time picking out just the right colors. I can’t wait to try out more of these beautiful coloring pages, and I’m also fast becoming a fan of the artist. That’s why I’m naming Marjorie Sarnat’s Creative Haven: Creative Cats Coloring Book as my February Book of the Month. If you love cats and enjoy coloring (or would like to give it a try), then I highly recommend this coloring book. Keep reading to learn how you can win a copy for yourself and I’ll even throw in a 50 count package of Crayola colored pencils to help you get started on your creative endeavors.
Cat fanciers and coloring enthusiasts will be enchanted with this gallery of original designs. More than 30 full-page portraits of pretty pussycats form a rich tapestry of motifs that includes hearts, flowers, and paisleys in various patterns. Pages are perforated and printed on one side only for easy removal and display. Specially designed for experienced colorists, Creative Cats and other Creative Haven® adult coloring books offer an escape to a world of inspiration and artistic fulfillment. Each title is also an effective and fun-filled way to relax and reduce stress.
